The Belgian made his intention to leave Chelsea known in the summer. He made it clear that he has always dreamt of playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid after his brilliant displays for Belgium in the World Cup in Russia.

The 28-year-old recently agreed that he dreams of moving to the Bernabéu, but he would not leave the way his countryman, Thibaut Courtois left the club as he’ll prefer to leave on good terms.

However, Chelsea’s record offer to Hazard has been on the table all this while and Gazzetta dello Sport says the Belgian is set to put pen to paper.


The club has offered him a salary of around £ 300,000 per week and the report states that it is believed that Hazard will accept in weeks to come.

It will be bad news for Real Madrid, who had planned to sign Hazard at the end of the season when he enters the final year of his agreement at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard still had 2 years left on his contract.
